The Pacific

The Pacific is a television series set in World War II and produced by HBO, which premiered in March 2010. It is the successor series Band of Brothers, which focused on the conflict in Europe. On this occasion is about the conflict that took place in the Pacific Ocean.
The series is the most expensive in history, with a budget of over $ 200 million. It was shot in various locations in Australia and the states of Queensland and Victoria.
The story told in the series is based on the memoirs of two American soldiers, Eugene Sledge and Robert Leckie, who wrote, respectively, "With the Old Breed" and "Helmet for My Pillow". Around these two soldiers, and his partner John Basilone, we will tell the story of their struggle against Japan in the various battles that took place.
The series is broadcast in Spain on Canal +.
