Despite its small size (550 m 2), Sealand is one of the best-known micronations, due to disputes with the United Kingdom, who claimed as his platform for being in its territorial waters, as well as incidents such as the capture of Bates by the Prime Minister Achenbach to take the tower, and the subsequent attack by Bates with a helicopter assault to retake control of Sealand. Achenbach and his associates were captured and declared prisoners of war, which caused a conflict with the Netherlands and Germany demanding his release.
