France declares war on Internet downloads

French President Nicolas Sarkozy, has signed an agreement with industry associations of music, film and Internet providers, whereby if a user downloads content frequently "illegal" you can take offline.

In 2006 a law was passed providing for up to three years in prison and a fine of 300,000 € for releasing copy-protected.

These are undoubtedly exaggerated measures to try to protect a traditional model doomed to be renewed. What do you think about it?
